Due to the generosity of long-time supporters Peter and Debra Prendiville, $100,000 was raised to support our work in the community at the 2016 event. This prestigious event has raised a total of approximately $600,000 for Youth Focus to support young Western Australians at risk of suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm.
Polo, which is often referred to as the “Sport of Kings”, is the oldest team sport in the world. Originating in China and Persia approximately 2,000 years ago, Polo was originally a training exercise for elite cavalry units. Since the 19th century, the popularity of the sport has grown immensely among players and spectators alike and the modern game is played all over the world.
Polo in the Valley is a great opportunity to witness all the exhilaration and excitement of the sport and the skills of exceptional horsemen working in harmony with their fast and agile horses in a unique and beautiful environment.
