Volunteer your time

Volunteer your time

Volunteering is a great way for people based in Perth, Western Australia to support Youth Focus and the young people who it assists.

Volunteering opportunities fall into the following categories:

  • Organising a fundraising event or activity
  • Helping out at a Youth Focus event
  • Mentoring a young person
  • Joining the Youth Reference Group

Organising a fundraising event or activity

With little funding provided by the Government, Youth Focus relies heavily on support from the corporate and community sectors so that we can keep our lifesaving and life changing work free to young people. If you’re interested in making a difference in the lives of young Western Australians by raising money, please email getinvolved@youthfocus.com.au.

Helping out at an event

Every year Youth Focus coordinates many events to raise much-needed funds, or to create awareness of mental health issues and Youth Focus services.  At some of these events, Youth Focus utilises the support of volunteers. Some of the tasks include the set up or pack down of the event. The need for event-related volunteers varies throughout the year, but if you are interested in being listed on our volunteer database, please email getinvolved@youthfocus.com.au.

Mentoring

Youth Focus is an active member of the Australian Youth Mentoring Network and WA Youth Mentoring Network and as such is committed to delivering a mentoring program which provides complimentary support to a young person, outside of their Youth Focus counselling.
