Accessibility

Our Commitment

At Youth Focus, we believe that everyone deserves equal access to mental health support and information — no matter their abilities or the technology they use. We’re committed to creating an inclusive, accessible website that works for all people, including those living with disability.

How we support an accessible online experience

  • Keyboard-friendly navigation for users who don’t use a mouse

  • Text alternatives (alt text) for all meaningful images

  • Clear and consistent heading structures to help screen readers

  • Strong colour contrast to support users with low vision

  • Resizable text using browser or device settings

  • Support for screen readers and assistive technologies using ARIA roles and labels

  • Mobile-friendly design that works on all screen sizes

Standards We Aim For

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as outlined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines help make content more accessible for everyone — including people with vision, hearing, cognitive or mobility challenges.

Ongoing Improvements

We know accessibility is an ongoing journey. As we continue to grow and update our site, we’ll keep reviewing and improving it to make sure it meets the needs of all our users.
