There was plenty of colour and activity in Albany Town Square on Friday, October 6, as Mental Health Week kicked off with a Mad Hatter Tea Party.
The annual event hosted by headspace Albany brought together several groups and organisations in the name of promoting positive mental wellbeing.
This year’s event featured live music, zumba, several stalls and free cake.
Prizes were also given out to those who donned the best hats for the day.
Youth Focus, Albany Youth Support Association, Amity Health Albany, Palmerston Association, Albany Pride, Albany and Regional Volunteer Service, Albany Halfway House Association and Neami National all sponsored the event.
The theme for WA Mental Health Week this year focused on mind, body and environment with people being encouraged to participate in local events, conversations and activities to raise awareness of positive mental health.
