Our CEO Derry Simpson has recently been appointed to the Board of the WA Council of Social Services (WACOSS) for a two-year term.
“My role as CEO of Youth Focus keeps me grounded in the realities many of our communities face, and the impact issues like homelessness, poverty, and family and domestic violence can have on children and young people, and their families. I also get to see the incredible strength and resilience when communities are given the opportunity to be part of the solution.
“Empowering communities is something that matters deeply to me, and I’m looking forward to working with the WACOSS Board and its members, and contributing to the incredible work they do to help create a fairer, more compassionate Western Australia,” Derry said.
WACOSS and Youth Focus are aligned in their approach, responding not just to problems that arise, but working towards reimagining what’s possible, and helping to create a fairer, more compassionate Western Australia.
