In Your Head is WA’s biggest youth mental health forum, hosted by zero2hero. At the event students learn from inspirational speakers and panellists, engage in workshops and interact with organisations that can support them in the future.
With over 1,100 high school students registered from over 70 schools, we were excited to be invited to attend the event and loved the opportunity to connect and be part of the busy, fun-filled day.
While the highlight was connecting with young people, it was also an opportunity to connect with teachers, discussing how they can support students – whether a student approaches them directly, or they notice changes in behaviour – ensuring they have somewhere they can recommend the student turn to.
At our stall, young people were challenged to complete our affirmation wordsearch and crossword, with those setting new record times to complete them receiving prizes.
The day is always high-energy, filled with fun and laughter, along with incredibly important and powerful conversations that encourage young people to support their wellbeing and the wellbeing of those around them.
