As we swiftly move closer to opening of headspace Manjimup, there’s a real sense of shared momentum building. The physical space is taking shape and our presence in the community is growing, with community engagement a focus for our team in the lead up to opening. Connecting with and learning from the community has remained central as we establish our team in the region.

We recently joined the community at the opening of the Manjimup Yarning Circle, a community space created to foster connection, cultural sharing, healing and conversation. A huge thanks to Southern Forest Arts for bringing together community members, students and local Aboriginal leaders and Elders to celebrate the importance of culture and inclusion.
Blackwood Youth Action invited Year 9 students from across the Warren Blackwood region to come together to learn about Mental Health and positive body image at Manjimup Senior Highschool. We were proud to support and contribute to the event, sharing conversations with young people. These opportunities to connect with young people are so important to us in the lead up to headspace Manjimup opening, helping us ensure young people’s voices and needs guide our approach.
Another very exciting development is the official commencement of the headspace Manjimup Advisory Group (hMAG). It was incredible to witness the ideas and passion of the five dedicated young people during our initial HMAG catchup.
Our team is growing and we are excited to welcome Stephanie Doyle, Family Access Clinician, and Helen Gales, Senior Youth Access Clinician.
Watching the space transform has been a reminder to our team and to the community, that headspace Manjimup is no longer just an idea or a plan, it is becoming something tangible and real. A service embedded in Manjimup to stay!
