The team in Northam recently held their first Proud Peers Drop-In session!
Held at headspace Northam, the team was excited to welcome young people from the area to enjoy a relaxed afternoon where they show up exactly as they are and however they feel most comfortable. With no current dedicated LGBTQIA+ spaces in or around Northam, we are proud to be able to offer a space where young people not only feel safe and comfortable to be their authentic selves but are celebrated for it.
The afternoon was filled with positive, queer energy, connection and good vibes. It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved and helping create a welcoming and inclusive space.
This space has been made possible thanks to the support of RICHARD LOCKWOOD, who is also a proud partner of Our Place in Midland alongside the City of Swan, Youth Focus and headspace Midland.
The team are so proud of how the first drop-in went, and they are already looking forward to the next one. Well done to everyone involved.
