Our services are designed to help young people achieve their goals in their mental health journey, empowering them to make decisions about the type, frequency and modality of services that best meets their needs. Many of our services are focused on early intervention – by working with young people early in their journey, research suggests that we can reduce the likelihood of mental health challenges developing into more complex, long-term disorders.
Between July and September this year, 1,764 young people accessed our services, including counselling, group programs, work and study support, mentoring, and education programs.
A significant number of our clients experienced improvement after engaging with our services, as identified through evidence-based outcome measures, and compared to similar services. The young people we supported experienced reduced psychological distress – in fact, 56% of the young people we saw had significant improvement in their levels of distress, compared to the industry benchmark of 36%. The majority of our clients also had an increased ability to engage in day-to-day life.
Our vision is to help create a world where a young person’s mental health doesn’t get in the way of them being who they want to be – and we are proud to work alongside our partners, communities, and young people to achieve this.
