Construction has begun for the expansion of headspace Albany’s St Emilie Way premises. During construction, headspace services will be temporarily relocated to offices within the same complex.
This will enable headspace Albany and Youth Focus Great Southern services to co-locate and share a new home. It will also create opportunities to expand to support more young people and their families in a safe, inclusive and confidential space.
With Youth Focus as its lead agency, headspace Albany offers a range of mental and physical health services, as well as employment, study and drug and alcohol support services to young people aged 12 to 25 years old.
The centre expansion commenced in September 2022. From 3 October, all appointments for young people will be temporarily relocated and delivered in pop-up or the Youth Focus offices within the same complex as the centre. The renovations are expected to be completed in mid November.
Clear signage and directions will be applied to the current office, and young people will receive a confirmation text message ahead of their appointments with the location details. If unsure, young people and their families are encouraged to connect with headspace Albany on (08) 9842 9871.
headspace Albany is committed to supporting young people in Albany and surrounds, and will be continuing to deliver services throughout this time.
