Propel Youth Arts WA is inviting young people aged 12 to 26 from across WA to participate in the 2024 Sketchbook Project.
Participation is open to all young people, who are free to fill their sketchbook with anything that takes their imagination – drawings, photos, poems, painting, cut-outs, collage and more!
All submitted sketchbooks will be exhibited at the State Library in April 2024. After the Youth Week WA KickstART Festival, the sketchbook will be part of the Travelling Sketchbook Exhibition, touring public venues across regional and suburban WA from July until December 2024.
How can you get involved?
Register Complete the registration form by Monday 18 December 2023. You will be able to select your preferred sketchbook collection and return point from a list of participating hubs.
Collect You will be notified via email or SMS when your sketchbook is ready, this should be in mid-January 2024. Once notified, you can collect a blank sketchbook from the Propel office, or from your chosen hub.
Create Fill your sketchbook with whatever your heart desires! We want to see drawings, paintings, sketches, intricate math formulas, recipes, origami, poetry or collages – feel free to express yourself in a way that is unique and authentic to you.
Submit Return and submit your completed sketchbook.
