World Suicide Prevention Day
World Suicide Prevention Day is held annually on September 10. It is a global awareness campaign which aims to raise awareness about the high number of people taking their own lives.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young Australians, and it can affect every one of us. Research shows that for every suicide, another 25 people attempt to take their own lives.
Step forward and be part of the conversation
Together with family and friends, businesses and community organisations, share the image of your colourful socks across your social media pages using the hashtag #sockit21 to help raise awareness of suicide prevention. Tag @youthfocuswa and we’ll share your photo on our platforms!
