Geraldton headspace and WAAC officer Brooke Bennet organised a family BBQ and Easter egg hunt on 31 March 2024 to celebrate the Transgender Day of Visibility. The event was held on the Geraldton foreshore, with around 25 mostly young people and their families attending. Some of the young people met each other for the first time and planned to meet up again later.
Transgender Day of Visibility is an international celebration of gender diversity in our community, and recognises the importance of creating safe and inclusive environments for our gender diverse community, especially young people.
