The Youth Focus Metro Team is excited to announce that Wise Minds is expanding.
The Wise Minds group program was initially developed as a collaborative project between the headspace and Youth Focus teams in Albany, and has been running successfully in Albany now for a few years. Wise Minds is now spreading to the Perth Metro region!
Group programs provide the opportunity for young people to learn new strategies and skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Over eight weeks, Wise Minds covers topics of mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotion regulation in an interactive and supportive environment.
The Youth Focus Metro team has collaborated with The Y HQ in Leederville as the first trial location in Term 3, 2023. The program begins in Joondalup on October 19, from 4-5pm.
