Youth Focus releases Annual Report 2022/23

For almost 30 years, Youth Focus has been providing mental health counselling and support services to young people in Western Australia aged between 12-25 years old.

We’ve just released our 2022-2023 Annual Report, which outlines the many ways we have supported young people with their mental health over the past twelve months, and the impact our services have had on enabling these young people to thrive in their community.

In 2022-2023, we:

  • supported 3,697 young people across Youth Focus and headspace, with 27,796 occasions of service;
  • educated 2,567 young people through our education programs;
  • provided counselling in 56 schools across the State;
  • helped 184 young people with their education and vocational goals through our Individual Placement and Support (IPS) program; and
  • engaged with and supported communities from Meekathara to Albany, through our eight metropolitan and regional offices.

The past 12 months have also seen a renewed strategic direction for Youth Focus, which will allow us to better champion and support the mental health needs of young people in Western Australia.

Of course, we know we can’t do this alone. We will make the greatest impact if we work together, and our partnerships with young people, their families and carers, our sector partners, funders, corporate supporters, and donors and fundraisers are instrumental in supporting us to help young people thrive in their communities. Thank you!
