What We Do Carers’ Resources

Carers in Mental Health

At Youth Focus we recognise that carers play a crucial role in supporting a young person to manage distress and maintain their wellbeing. As their chosen support person (parent, guardian, partner, kin etc.), you are a cornerstone of their support network and a key partner with professional services. We know that when carers are involved in services, young people experience better outcomes.

Taking Care of Yourself

As a carer, taking care of yourself is an essential part of supporting young people in a skilled and sustainable way. We partner with a number of organisations, who provide invaluable information and support to carers, including headspace National, Carers WA and Helping Minds.
